From Farmer to Energy Manager

Traditional agriculture and the production of renewable energy are not mutually exclusive; on the contrary: agri-photovoltaics enables dual use of photovoltaics and agriculture on one and the same area. The area efficiency is increased enormously.

SKipp Agri-PV: The advantages at a glance

SKipp Agri-PV: Privileges for extensive agriculture

Following recent EEG changes:

In the spatial-functional context of an agricultural, forestry or horticultural operation that is privileged in the outdoor area, an agri-photovoltaic system of up to 2.5 hectares is now privileged . This means that a building application can be approved without the prior preparation of a development plan (according to Section 35 of the Building Code).

By privileging agri-PV systems, the necessary legal framework is in place to advance the pioneering combination of energy production and agricultural use. The use of vertical, bifacial systems that are oriented east and west is particularly useful. They use little space and in periods of drought, slight shading can even lead to better yields. They also promote a more even use of the electricity grid, as they do not generate a midday peak like conventional solar modules, but rather supply electricity primarily in the morning and evening. Our solution: SKipp Agri

In order to guarantee the EEG technology bonus of an additional 2.5 ct / kWp (2024), we offer our PV systems with the required clear height of 80 cm. Depending on how your area is managed, you can choose between a piled or non-piled variant. Regardless of this, our SKipp solutions have one thing in common: the PV modules deflect under wind load.
